You combine sustainable multimodal transport with practical support at the terminal. From gas measurements to empty depot services. Everything is designed for safety, speed and control over your containers.
Safety is central to all BTT terminals. Incoming containers are checked by external gas measurement specialists. They measure, analyse and provide gas measurement reports in accordance with applicable guidelines. Dedicated ventilation areas are set up at the terminals for containers with elevated concentrations of gases or vapours. This keeps the working environment safe and ensures shipments meet the required standards.
BTT has multiple empty depot locations for carriers and shippers. Via the Terminal Operating System, you can see the real-time status of empty containers. Containers can be released quickly when you need them. In addition, BTT provides additional services such as storage, estimates and repairs, cleaning in accordance with environmental requirements, and handling of EIR documentation. This keeps your processes efficient and organised.
Reefer connections are available at all BTT terminals, so refrigerated containers can be connected immediately on arrival. This keeps your cargo continuously at the correct temperature. Prior to departure, BTT can carry out a pre-trip inspection to check that the reefer is technically in order. During its stay at the terminal, temperature, humidity, oxygen and nitrogen levels, and ventilation are actively monitored. All values are recorded and reported. If necessary, the reefer can be refuelled with standard fuel or Arctic diesel.
For dry bulk products, BTT works with container liners. These are polypropylene bags placed inside the container to protect cargo against moisture and contamination. The loading and unloading of these free-flowing products is carried out with specialised equipment. BTT also provides handling and transport of non-standard cargo such as steel plates and coils. For every shipment, the right approach is determined to ensure safe and efficient transport.
The BTT terminals hold the necessary permits and licences for transporting and storing customs goods in a recognised customs warehouse. Thanks to AEO certification, customs activities are processed faster and unnecessary checks are limited. Paperless transport of customs goods from the seaport to the BTT terminals saves you time and gives you more control over the moment of customs clearance.
