Sustainability

Sustainability has been a key part of BTT's way of working for years. As one of the first parties in the Netherlands, we transported large container flows by inland shipping and later also by rail between seaports and the hinterland. This shift from road to water and rail has significantly reduced the number of trucks on the road, resulting in a clear reduction in CO₂ emissions.

Sustainability

In recent years, BTT has further strengthened this course by:

  • Further expanding multimodal transport solutions, both nationally and internationally
  • Consolidating container flows through partnerships such as the West Brabant Corridor
  • Deploying sustainable internal equipment at terminals
  • Using modern trucks with cleaner engines for pre- and onward carriage

BTT continuously works on more efficient logistics processes and aims to remain a leading player in sustainable multimodal transport. In doing so, we contribute to lower emissions and a future-proof logistics chain.

Reducing CO₂ emissions?

BTT can help

Together with customers and partners, BTT looks at practical ways to make logistics processes more efficient and sustainable. Using specially developed software, we analyse the CO₂ reduction potential within your supply chain. Based on this, we advise on which modality and route delivers the greatest gains in terms of emissions, costs and turnaround time.
