At BTT's warehouses, goods are received, stored, checked and prepared for shipment. As a warehouse employee, you make sure goods are in the right place and ready to continue their journey at the right time.

You work with modern systems and equipment and stay in close contact with colleagues in the warehouse, at the terminal and within transport operations. This makes you an important link between storage, transshipment and transport.

Working in the Warehouse

Within our warehouses, different teams work together to receive, store, pick and prepare goods for shipment. From warehouse employees and forklift drivers to colleagues responsible for inventory management and administration.

Experience is an advantage, but not always required. Depending on the position, there are opportunities to learn on the job and obtain relevant training and certificates.

What will you be doing?

Depending on your role, your responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving and inspecting incoming goods
  • Picking orders and preparing them for shipment
  • Working with scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Managing inventory and processing warehouse administration
  • Operating a forklift or reach truck, depending on your position

Where does BTT have storage space?

BTT has storage facilities at several strategic locations, including Tilburg, Bergen op Zoom and Eindhoven. These locations connect directly to our multimodal terminals. This allows storage and transport to be combined efficiently.

Can BTT store goods temporarily during transport?

Yes. BTT offers temporary storage before, during or after transport. This is convenient when goods are awaiting onward transport by truck, train or barge. This keeps the logistics chain flexible and easy to manage.

What is cross-docking?

The China Cargo Center in Tilburg is designed for goods transported via the rail connection with China. Here, BTT combines storage, transshipment, customs clearance and additional logistics services for China cargo.
