Working on trucks, trailers and terminal equipment

As a Workshop Mechanic at BTT, you work alongside eleven colleagues on a fleet of over 600 towing and towed units. 

From maintenance services and MOT inspections to complete refurbishment projects: you share responsibility for the safety and presentation of the entire fleet.

What will you be doing?

Your day in the workshop

No two days are the same in BTT's workshop.

  • Carrying out maintenance on trucks, trailers and terminal equipment
  • Resolving repairs and technical faults
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
  • Refurbishing trailers and terminal tractors for a second life
  • Taking on jobs independently and working together as part of a team

What do we ask of you?

You have a passion for technology and enjoy rolling up your sleeves.

  • MBO qualification in automotive technology, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
  • Experience with vehicle technology or bodywork construction is a plus
  • Technical insight and problem-solving ability
  • Flexible attitude — including willingness to do on-call duty
  • You work neatly, safely and independently

Are you eager to learn and technically skilled, but don't yet have experience in every area? We're happy to teach you the trade further in practice.
