As a Reach Stacker Operator at BTT, you make sure containers are moved safely, precisely and on time.

What will you be doing?

Your day on the terminal

You keep the terminal moving from the cab of a powerful reach stacker.

  • Safely moving and stacking containers with the utmost precision
  • Maintaining overview of the stack and recognising priorities
  • Placing containers in the right spot for transport by road, rail or water
  • Working according to safety procedures and terminal agreements
  • Liaising with colleagues on the terminal for smooth throughput

What do we ask of you?

You keep a cool head and enjoy working independently.

  • Experience with a reach stacker, heavy-duty forklift or similar equipment
  • You work accurately and think ahead
  • You have no problem working shifts
  • Good command of the Dutch language
  • Safety-conscious attitude and sense of responsibility

Frequently asked questions

What does a Reach Stacker Operator do?

You move full and empty containers across the terminal using a reach stacker. You make sure containers are in the right place for transport or storage.

Do I need a certificate?

Experience with heavy equipment is a plus. BTT mainly looks at your technical insight, sense of responsibility and eagerness to learn.

Is the work varied?

Yes. You're continuously involved in different transport movements and work closely with planners and colleagues on the terminal.

Do I work outside a lot?

Yes. You work mostly outside on the terminal, in all seasons.
