You make sure train movements run safely, precisely and on time

As a Train Driver at BTT, you work right in the middle of the rail operation and are responsible for shunting, checking and guiding rail vehicles on and around the terminal.

What will you be doing?

Your day on the terminal

You keep the rail operation safe and continuously moving.

  • Carrying out shunting movements on and around the rail terminal
  • Checking incoming and departing trains, wagons and locomotives before departure
  • Coupling, uncoupling and guiding rail vehicles between the terminal and yard
  • Operating switches, stop blocks and other track infrastructure
  • Identifying faults, deviations and safety risks and taking appropriate measures
  • Liaising with operations, planning and terminal departments

In addition, you handle the administration and registration of checks, movements and daily tasks.

What do we ask of you?

You work accurately, independently and take responsibility for safety.

  • Fully qualified Freight Train Driver (Driver A/B)
  • Certificates in Safety Communication, Wagon Inspection and Shunting Competence — or willing to obtain these
  • Knowledge of rail regulations and railway infrastructure
  • Good command of the Dutch language; English is a plus
  • Medically and psychologically approved for driver and shunter duties
  • Flexible with rotating shifts and calm under pressure

Experience within rail or terminal operations is important for this role.
