As a Reach Stacker Operator at BTT, you work with large equipment, maintain overview in the stack and keep the logistics flow running.

What will you be doing?

Your day on the terminal

You are active on the terminal every day and work with containers weighing dozens of tonnes.

  • Safely moving, stacking and handling containers on the terminal
  • Maintaining overview of the container stack and working according to plan
  • Safely and efficiently operating reach stackers and other terminal equipment
  • Carrying out checks on the machine and equipment before the start of your shift
  • Liaising with colleagues to keep the container flow running smoothly

You work mostly outdoors and regularly get in and out of the machine during your shift.

What do we ask of you?

You work accurately, think ahead and keep a cool head under pressure.

  • Experience with a reach stacker, forklift or shunting tractor
  • MBO working and thinking level
  • Safety-conscious and responsible work attitude
  • You work independently and collaborate well in a team of around 15 colleagues
  • Good command of the Dutch language

You are flexible and willing to work a 2-shift rota, including an average of 2 weekend days per 4 weeks.

What does a Reach Stacker Operator do?

You move full and empty containers across the terminal using a reach stacker. You make sure containers are in the right place for transport or storage.

Do I need a certificate?

Experience with heavy equipment is a plus. BTT mainly looks at your technical insight, sense of responsibility and eagerness to learn.

Is the work varied?

Yes. You're continuously involved in different transport movements and work closely with planners and colleagues on the terminal.

Do I work outside a lot?

Yes. You work mostly outside on the terminal, in all seasons.
