No heavy loading work
You work with vehicles and containers, not with manual loading and unloading.
BTT is about more than containers, terminals and transport. In De Lead, we share the stories, ideas and people that keep everything moving.
Shift: 2-shift rota
Salary in accordance with the BGV Collective Labour Agreement
As a Shunter at BTT, you work with terminal tractors, liaise with planners and drivers, and keep the logistics flow running.
You are active daily on the terminal and in the immediate vicinity of Tilburg.
You work independently, think ahead and like to get stuck in.
Experience with a terminal tractor or shunting work is a bonus, but we consider motivation and effort just as important.
At BTT, you work with modern equipment within a close-knit logistics team.
At BTT, you don't work for an anonymous logistics company, but for an organisation where people know each other and pull together. With terminals in Tilburg, Bergen op Zoom and Geleen, our own truck fleet, warehouses and direct connections by road, water and rail, no two days are the same.
Whether you work on the terminal, are out on the road as a driver, work in the warehouse or sit in the office, your work directly impacts the operation. You see what you do, work with modern resources and get the space to develop yourself.
Together, we make sure that thousands of containers reach their destination every day. We're proud of that.
After you've applied, our recruiter gets to work. Keep an eye on your phone and inbox!
Does your motivation and experience match what we're looking for? Great! We'll invite you for an introductory meeting with the manager on location.
Was the introductory meeting positive? Then we'll schedule a second interview as soon as possible! A possible future colleague often joins this conversation too.
Do both sides have a good feeling about it? Then you'll receive an offer to come and work at BTT.
Have we reached an agreement and do you accept the offer? Great! Welcome to BTT!
What does a Shunter at BTT do?
You move containers between various locations on site and make sure trailers and containers are ready for transport on time.
Do I need a category CE licence?
Each vacancy states which licences or certificates are required. Always check the job requirements before applying.
Do I work alone?
No. You have plenty of contact with drivers, planners and terminal employees to coordinate the work well.
What does a workday look like?
No two days are the same. You're constantly moving equipment and quickly switch between different tasks.
Do I need a T driving licence?
Yes, or you're willing to obtain this through BTT. If you obtained your category B licence before 1 July 2015, you often automatically have a valid T licence.
Do I need experience?
No. You can start without experience. BTT guides you and teaches you the trade in practice.
Do I work in shifts?
Yes. You work in rotating shifts, so the logistics operation can continue around the clock.
Why work as a Shunter at BTT?
You get a varied logistics role, work with modern equipment and have plenty of opportunities to develop yourself further.
Leave your details and we'll get in touch with you as soon as possible.
