What will you be doing?

Your day on the terminal

You keep the logistics flow running on and around the terminal.

  • Safely and efficiently driving containers between various locations in Bergen op Zoom
  • Coupling, uncoupling and correctly positioning trailers and chassis
  • Checking documents and processing simple administration
  • Liaising with planners, drivers and colleagues on the terminal
  • Working with modern and well-maintained equipment

What do we ask of you?

You like to get stuck in and enjoy working independently.

  • T licence or willing to obtain this through BTT
  • MBO working and thinking level
  • You work accurately and take responsibility
  • You have no problem working shifts
  • You communicate well with colleagues and think in solutions

Tip: Did you obtain your category B licence before 1 July 2015? Then you automatically also have a valid T licence.

What does a Shunter at BTT do?

You move containers between various locations on site and make sure trailers and containers are ready for transport on time.

Do I need a category CE licence?

Each vacancy states which licences or certificates are required. Always check the job requirements before applying.

Do I work alone?

No. You have plenty of contact with drivers, planners and terminal employees to coordinate the work well.

What does a workday look like?

No two days are the same. You're constantly moving equipment and quickly switch between different tasks.

Do I need a T driving licence?

Yes, or you're willing to obtain this through BTT. If you obtained your category B licence before 1 July 2015, you often automatically have a valid T licence.

Do I need experience?

No. You can start without experience. BTT guides you and teaches you the trade in practice.

Do I work in shifts?

Yes. You work in rotating shifts, so the logistics operation can continue around the clock.
